How do I navigate the search results?

Answer

All results matching your search are displayed, showing author, title, resource type, date and location (including full text).

Items that are available online, will have the link "Full text online", physical items will display "Available at" and the library location.


 

For items that are available online, clicking on the Full Text Online link will open up the item in a new tab/window.

For physical items, clicking on the Available at link will open up the full record view which will provide you with details on where to find it and/or request it.

Result Options/Actions

Each result has a number of options and actions available to it, these can be access clicking the icons location on the top right of each result.

Email an item
Keep the item (save to My Favorites)

Share

This will allow you to share the item on popular messaging and social platforms.

 

QR

This will generate a QR code to allow you to scan the item on your phone or device, very useful if using a discovery station or student PC.

 

Export to Excel

This will generate and download an Excel file containing the metatdata for the selected item.

Endnote/RIS

This will generate an RIS file, RIS is a standardised tag format developed by Research Information Systems, Incorporated (the format name refers to the company) to enable citation programs to exchange data. It is supported by a number of reference management systems including Endnote.

Refworks

Clicking on this will import the item to RefWorks, a web-based commercial reference management software package. 

Endnote Online

Clicking on this will import the item to Endnote Online, a web-based commercial reference management software package.

Citation

Generate a citation for the selected item.

Permalink

Generate a permalink for the item, this link will remain persistent and can be shared reliably.

Print

Clicking on this will open a print-friendly view of the item.

Email

This will allow you to email the item to yourself or someone else.
